72% of the Consortium’s annual revenues (approximately $2.7 million) are derived from funds received through the U.S. Department of Education and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education to provide higher education access services for disadvantaged students and adults across the state.

Budding Scientists: Playing with Polymers
Environment / Nature - Class/Workshop
Thursday, May 3, 2012
10:15 AM-11:30 AM
In this monthly program, curious little scientists explore the natural world and learn basic scientific principles. Each interactive session includes simple and safe science and nature experiments designed to stimulate and engage young minds.
In May, our budding scientists will run tests to determine the properties of certain types of polymers (plastics) and make their own to take home.
Budding Scientists is designed for families and their children aged 4-6. You bring the curiosity, we'll provide the smocks. This is active and interactive science, so children may get messy.
There are two identical, half hour sessions held on the first Thursday of each month. The first begins at 10:15 a.m., and the second begins at 11:00 a.m. Each session is limited to the first 10 adult-child pairs. Please pick up a ticket for your session at the Information Desk when you arrive at the museum.
