The second exhibit in Tower Hill's 2010 "Art in the Garden" series features the otherworldy images of artist Ivana Damien George of Bridgewater, Mass. George is an interdisciplinary artist working in photography, installation, sound, and video. She has exhibited her work in over 40 national and international exhibitions. Her display at Tower Hill will make you see a crabapple like you've never seen one before.

Says George, "Infrared photography extends human vision into the realm of the invisible by making photographs with light rays that humans cannot see. Because of this quality, I create dramatic images that make visible that which would otherwise remain invisible. I use medium format and large format film rather than digital photography to obtain very high image resolution, which allows me to make very large and detailed prints."

The exhibition will run from June 29 through July 31, open Tuesday-Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., when regular admission applies; half-price admission is charged on Wednesday evenings when the Garden is open until 8pm.

The artwork will be available for sale; a portion of the proceeds support the ongoing development of Tower Hill Botanic Garden.
