The 12 college and university members which comprise the Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. include nine Worcester-based institutions and three institutions in greater Worcester. Member institutions are: Anna Maria College, Assumption College, Becker College, Clark University, College of the Holy Cross, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, MCPHS University Nichols College, Quinsigamond Community College, UMass Medical School, Worcester State University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The Shoppes at Blackstone Valley is the largest open-air shopping center in all of Central Massachusetts, located in Millbury, right off of Route 146. One could spend a whole day at the center checking out shops like Pier 1, Ann Taylor Loft, Chico's, Jos A Banks, GAP, Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, and EMS then break for some lunch at Red Robin, T.G.I. Fridays, Qdoba, Quizno's, and more. The center even includes a state-of-the-art 14-screen movie theatre.
