Worcester, MA – It takes two to tango—and in this case it takes two generations. The Consortium Gerontology Studies Program (CGSP) will host its seventh annual intergenerational dance, “Bridging the Generations,” on Sunday April 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the ballroom of the Hogan Campus Center at the College of the Holy Cross.
The event is open to all elders in central Massachusetts as well as all students enrolled at Consortium institutions. The afternoon will feature individual dancing, a dance contest, games, prizes and a light buffet lunch. Live music will be provided by the Dodge Park Rest Home 76'ers, the Holy Cross Jazz Ensemble, and the Holy Cross a cappella group Fools on the Hill.
Admission is free but attendees are strongly encouraged to bring two canned goods to benefit the Worcester County Food Bank. For more information, please contact Kelly Niles-Yokum, director of CGSP, at 508.754.6829 x3017 or knilesyokum [at] cowc [dot] org.
