Worcester, MA - The Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. has announced its newly elected Board of Directors. Board members officially took office on July 1, 2008 and all appointments are for two years.
Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J., president, College of the Holy Cross, takes over as board chair for Dr. Janelle C. Ashley, president, Worcester State College, who will now serve as board past chair.
Other new appointments within the board are: Dr. Gail E. Carberry, president, Quinsigamond Community College, board vice chair and chair of the Higher Education Access Advisory Committee; Christian W. McCarthy, executive vice president for finance and administration, Assumption College, treasurer and chair, Chief Financial Officers Committee; Dr. Michael J. Malloy, dean, school of pharmacy, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, clerk and chair, Chief Academic Officers Committee; Janet Begin Richardson, vice president for student affairs and campus life, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, chair, Chief Student Affairs Officers Committee; and Linda Carre Looft, assistant vice president for government and community relations, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, chair, External Relations Committee.
