Worcester, MA - The Human Resources Training Committee
of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. concluded its 2008 Management Certificate Program with an awards luncheon at the College
of the Holy Cross.A total of 34 staff members from Consortium institutions participated in "Tomorrow's Skills for Today's Managers: Series I" during the 2007-2008 academic year. The program consists of a series of workshops which are designed to enhance the skills of managers and supervisors. The focus of the workshops is on the acquisition and enhancement of practical skills. The seven workshops lead to a formal Certificate in Management.
The guest speaker at the luncheon was Charlyn "Charlie" Robert, associate dean of student services and director of athletics and recreation at Nichols College. Among the certificate recipients was Consortium staff member Jude D'Angelo, education advisor at Burncoat High School. Presenters for the Series I program were Grace Blunt, Esq., Assumption College; Rockie Blunt, Blunt Consulting Group; Kristi Thompson, Sierra Associates; Hamish Blackman, Wellness Corporation; and David Everett, Clark University.
