Consortium to host Working in Worcester open house

studentsWorcester, MA - The Colleges of Worcester Consortium will host a Working in Worcester Open House for 50 students on Friday, November 30.

The event will be an afternoon of information and networking sessions held at the offices of leading Worcester companies. The open house portion of the day will be followed by an evening out in downtwon Worcester. Consortium students will connect with Worcester employers and learn about available career and internship opportunities within the city. In addition to career opportunities, they will also get a taste of Worcester's cultural and entertainment offerings.

Interested participants must register online for this event. Registration is free but space is limited to 50 students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors only). The deadline to register is November 23. Free transportation is available for this event via the Consortium Shuttle (downtown stop) or the Woo Bus (Main Street stop). The event is also accessible from the main WRTA hub.

  • 2:15 p.m. - City of Worcester open house, City Council Chambers, City Hall, 455 Main Street
  • 3:15 p.m. - Fallon Community Health Plan open house, 10 Chestnut Street
  • 4:15 p.m. - Sovereign Bank open house, 466 Main Street, eighth floor
  • 5:30 p.m. - Networking social at McFadden's Restaurant, 50 Front Street

    (Worcester's third annual Festival of Lights will ring in the holiday season with a spectacular light show and a variety of choral performances)
