Consortium to host Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle

Worcester, MA - The Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. will host the second annual Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle on Saturday, September 6 along the city's famed "Restaurant Row."
This event is based on the widely successful Taste of Shrewsbury Street which is held each year in June. The College Shuffle will be held exclusively for Consortium students in addition to the local higher education community (including faculty, administrators, staff and families). The event is co-sponsored by the Consortium and the Shrewsbury Street Area Merchants Association.
Food samplings will be available from over 20 Shrewsbury Street restaurants and street performances will be given by the Assumption College Offbeats, the Anna Maria College Jazz Ensemble, the Clark University Hip Hop Collabo, the Holy Cross Ballroom Dance Club and the WPI Jazz Ensemble. The event will also feature contests and free giveaways.
The food sampling or "shuffle" will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. The event will be capped off with a special performance by the Improv Asylum at 4 p.m. at the Hanover Theatre. Featured on HBO, the Boston-based Improv Asylum has performed throughout the United States.
The cost for the shuffle is $10 per person ($15 day of) when purchased in advance at respective student activities offices. The cost of the Improv Asylum show is also $10 when purchased in advance at student activities offices. Free transportation will be provided from participating schools.
