The Consortium offers numerous faculty development opportunities throughout the academic year, including an annual faculty development workshop each spring which attracts over 150 faculty participants.
Kim Ainsworth, executive director of the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board, presented "Trends in Federal Hiring" as the keynote address. Ainsworth also presented a morning session on "Security Clearances & Background Investigations."
The afternoon session featured a presentation on "Writing KSAs" (Knowledge, Skill, Ability) given by Maggie Becker, assistant director, Career Development Center, WPI and Alexandra Los, associate director recruiting, Career Planning Center, College of the Holy Cross. The day wrapped up with an employer panel.
Members of the panel were: Patrick J. Brown, Organizational Resources Staff, General Services Administration, New England; Greg Comcowich, Special Agent, FBI; and Kathleen Maguire, Corporate Recruiter/Appeals Officer, IRS.
