Worcester, MA - Business suits and resumes were the order of the day as the Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. held its annual business and human services career fair at the Worcester Hotel and Conference Center on March 29.
The career fair drew a total of 265 attendees (students from Consortium member institutions and members of the community) and 67 employers. The majority of student attendees were seniors, but some juniors and underclassmen also got a jump on their career search.
"I completely enjoyed this event," wrote one student on a career fair evaluation form. "It helped me build my communication and interview skills in addition to my confidence." "I was very impressed with the students. They were well-prepared and had researced different companies," wrote an employer on an evaluation form."
"This event is a great example of a Consortium committee (Career Services Directors Committee) working together to provide our students with great opportunities to make contacts, get practice communicating with potential employers, and learn what prospects are available after graduation," said Karen Manson, director of student activities for the Consortium.
