Shuttle

The Consortium coordinates a free shuttle bus service, operated by AA Transportation Company, Inc. of Shrewsbury. This intercampus transportation service, which uses a wheelchair-lift equipped bus, connects six Worcester campuses (WPI, Becker, Assumption, Clark, Worcester State and Holy Cross) with each other and the Worcester Public Library, Union Station, Worcester Art Museum and the downtown area. The service is designed to provide access to other campuses for cross-registration, library use, and athletic and social events. Through connections with the RTA public bus system, the Consortium shuttle also provides full access to the Worcester community for commuting students, jobs and internships, cultural events, entertainment and shopping.

Special signs are posted at each stop with the shuttle route map and schedule. Routes and schedules are also posted inside the shuttle, along with information directing riders to the nearest RTA stop. Brochures on the shuttle service and other transportation options are also available in the registrars' and student services offices on each campus, as well as in the Consortium office.

Dates of Operation

For the 2012-2013 academic year, the service begins on August 27, 2012 and runs on weekdays through May 8, 2013, except on these dates: 10/8, 11/21-23 and 12/17-1/11.

Schedule & Stops

The service runs Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are hourly stops at the six colleges as well as the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester Public Library and Union Station. Please consult the schedule below for exact times.

  1. Becker College/Worcester - front gate at 61 Sever Street
  2. WPI - Riley Hall, in the Quad
  3. Assumption College - Plourde Recreation Center
  4. Worcester State College - front of Administration buildings (by Sullivan)
  5. Clark University - Downing Street at Woodland Avenue
  6. College of the Holy Cross - main door of Hogan Campus Center
  7. Worcester Public Library - Salem Street (WRTA Access)
  8. Union Station - Major Taylor Boulevard bus stop (WRTA Access) - TEMPORARILY MOVED ACROSS THE STREET TO KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL WHILE WRTA HUB CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY
