The Colleges of Worcester Consortium Career Services Committee hosted its annual Professional Development Day on Friday, November 21, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the EcoTarium in Worcester. The theme was "Green Careers."

About the Keynote Speaker
Kevin Doyle is an independent consultant doing business as Green Economy for clients throughout the United States and its territories. His mission is to help people create personal careers and vibrant institutions that can be rigorously assessed against sustainability's "triple bottom line" and emerge with a high score. Kevin's work since 2007 has been noted in Newsweek, Forbes, Marketplace Money (NPR), The New York Times, E Magazine, The Boston Globe Magazine, Smart Money, Monster.com, Radio Times (NPR in Philadelphia), Here on Earth (Wisconsin Public Radio), Business to Business Magazine, California Green Solutions, Yahoo! Money Matters, Natural Path, The Journal News, All Business, and Diverse Magazine. He is co-chair of the New England Clean Energy Council workforce development group, and was on Newsweek's 2008 Global Environmental Leadership Advisory Council. Kevin is the co-author of three respected books about environmental careers from Island Press, including The New Complete Guide to Environmental Careers (1993), The Complete Guide to Environmental Careers in the 21st Century (1999), and The Eco Guide to Careers That Make a Difference: Environmental Work for a Sustainable World (2005).
