Sponsorship & Visibility Opportunities

$300- $500 Advertising space in monthly e-newsletter for undergraduates

The e-newsletter is an undergraduate update sent to full-time students at the beginning of each month. There are two advertising spots available. The cost is $300 for one or $500 for both (as available). Ad information and payment is due two weeks prior to the first of the month.

$650-$1,300 Woo Bus (Friday/ Saturday shuttle) Magnet Advertising

The Woo Bus is a shuttle service connecting college students with desirable locations for restaurants, shopping, and entertainment: Shrewsbury Street, Main Street, Union Station, Green Street, Park Avenue, Shoppes at Blackstone Valley and Lincoln Plaza. The Woo Bus runs two lines Friday evenings and three lines on Saturday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. It is free for full-time, undergraduate students at the five participating colleges (Anna Maria College, Assumption College, Becker College, College of the Holy Cross and Worcester Polytechnic Institute).

Placing an ad on the interior walls of the bus will provide your company or event high visibility with a captive and targeted audience. Whether your venue is off one of the Woo Bus stops or you just want to reach this demographic, placing ads on the Woo Bus is a smart and affordable decision with options ranging from $650 to $1,300.

Your ad magnet will be placed on three buses that service five member campuses on Friday and Saturday nights. At the end of the advertising period, your ad magnets will be available for pick up should you wish to keep them.

$1,000 Internship Database Advertising

The online database is a virtual, one-stop shop for more than 30,000 college students enrolled in central Massachusetts to connect with local employers interested in offering internship opportunities.

The database, which can be accessed on our Web site, allows employers to register at any time. Students can search the database 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The database launched in March 2007. Since that time we have attracted over 1700 college students to register and search positions from our 250+ employers. The demographic is 18-22 year olds, most of whom attend one of our member campuses; but the database is open to and used by Worcester-area residents who go elsewhere to college.

In return for your sponsorship, the Consortium will place your banner ad on this Web page for 12 months. These banner ads will be seen by all students and employers who visit the database site and offer a huge bang-for-the-buck return with this tremendous amount of visual exposure. The banner may also link to your Web site for no additional charge.

$500- $5,000 Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle

In partnership with the Shrewsbury Street Merchants, the Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle has become part of the college student culture  in the Worcester area. Students get a "Taste of Shrewsbury Street" through the signature dishes provided by participating restaurants. Students "shuffle" from restaurant to restaurant; a variety of performances and activities are provided for the students along the route.

In order to make this affordable for students and ensure their participation in the event, we need your support. The participating restaurants have recognized the marketing potential to this new demographic (and their families) and have offered to greatly reduce the cost per venue for their delicious food. We're hoping that you, too, will see the marketing benefit for your organization as well as the great benefit to building relationships between the the city and the college students. Sponsorship opportunities are available at $500- $5000 contributions.

$6,000 Consortium Day Shuttle WiFi

The Colleges of Worcester Consortium provides shuttle service M-F, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., between six of our campuses and three downtown locations. We would like to be able to provide WiFi for our 150 passengers each day. Such service would require a $6,000 annual sponsorship.

In return for your sponsorship dollars, shuttle passengers would be directed to your Web site upon connecting to the Internet; there would be an 18" x 24" full-color sign in the shuttle indicating free WiFi with your logo and company name.

$1,000- $10,000 Event Sponsorship

The Colleges of Worcester Consortium hosts periodic inter-campus social programs, such as College Night at the Worcester Sharks and a comedy show at Hanover Theatre. Sponsorships for these events vary from $1000 - $10,000.
