ALANA
The ALANA Consortium Support Network, established in August of 1999, is an organization of professional administrators affiliated with colleges and universities within central Massachusetts. Central to their work is a concerted effort to support the recruitment and retention of ALANA (African - Latino / Hispanic - Asian - Native American) students. The Network is a thriving organization with active representatives from Anna Maria College, Assumption College, Clark University, College of the Holy Cross, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Worcester State College.
The Network has proven to be an excellent means for its members to support each other's work through the sharing of information and resources. One of the goals of the Network is to develop a strong connection among ALANA students in member colleges. Crossing Boundaries is a conference held annually and sponsored by the Network as part of an effort to expand support and resources for all Consortium ALANA students, to provide opportunities for them to meet and dialogue, and for them to develop genuine supportive relationships with each other.

Quick Fact
75% of the Consortium’s annual revenues (approximately $3.5 million) are derived from funds received through the U.S. Department of Education and the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education to provide higher education access services for disadvantaged students and adults across the state.
